Nottingham Forest will pay less than £5 million for Chelsea youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi, it has now been claimed. The Blues have ensured that a significant sell-on clause has been placed in the deal.
According to The Telegraph, the deal is now close to being announced. Hudson-Odoi had just a year to run on his current Stamford Bridge contract and this could be a bargain.

Hudson-Odoi is a player who Steve Cooper knows well. The player was part of the England Under-17 squad that won the World Cup in 2017.
Now, the player who has lost his way a little bit in recent years is moving to Forest. A deal was agreed with Chelsea overnight and the player is now undergoing a medical at the City Ground.
Frank Lampard is a huge fan of Hudson-Odoi, when he was overseeing things at Chelsea, he called him ‘incredible’ and gave him ample chances in the first team.

Now, the player has a brilliant chance to rediscover his best form. Last season, he was on loan at Bayer Leverkusen but managed just two goal contributions in 21 outings as he struggled to impress Xabi Alonso.
Forest seal bargain Hudson-Odoi deal
This is definitely a deal that will excite the fan base. Given that he’s going to cost less than £5 million, this deal does make a lot of sense.

At 22-years-old, it’s quite remarkable what Hudson-Odoi has achieved. He’s won the Champions League with Chelsea and has made over 100 appearances for the Blues but in the last couple of years, he’s had a few injury issues.
Now, he will head to Forest to embark on the next stage of his career. With Cooper in his corner to put a much-needed arm around him, the player could thrive.
The deal looks like an exciting one. Hudson-Odoi has played three times for England. Under Cooper’s wing, he could collect even more in the future.
