Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of Nicolas Dominguez from Bologna. Midfielder Remo Freuler has gone in the other direction as part of the deal.
This looks like an intriguing deal from a Forest perspective. The player is only 25-years-old and he comes as a player who has made 11 appearances for his country.

Dominguez didn’t make the cut for the squad last winter as Argentina won the World Cup. He was part of the team that tasted Copa America glory last time out, however.
The player swaps Bologna for Forest after three years in Italy. He checked in at the club from Velez Sarsfield and made 112 appearances for the club, captaining them from time to time.
Dominguez has now checked in on Trentside. He won’t be eligible for tomorrow’s game against Chelsea but after the international break, he will hope to get into the team quickly.

The Reds will be delighted to get over the line with this one. Dominguez is a quality performer and he will bring quite a bit of experience with him despite his tender years.

Forest are going to go full steam ahead now to sign Ibrahim Sangare. Hopefully, that deal can go through before the deadline and he has been Forest’s number one target.
Dominguez has been given the number 16 shirt at the City Ground. He will hope to hit the ground running with his new club and it will be interesting to see how Steve Cooper deploys him this season.
