Nottingham Forest are pushing to try and sign Real Betis central midfielder Guido Rodriguez as the transfer window reaches a conclusion. The Reds have been linked with the 29-year-old and they’re keen to do a deal.
According to Sevilla ABC, the Reds are now making contact with the La Liga outfit once again. Clearly, another midfielder is on the radar at the club; with Ibrahim Sangare also set to sign for the Reds.

Rodriguez has been in Spain since 2020. He signed for the club from Mexican outfit America and has become a fan favourite during his time with Real Betis.
The central midfield player has made 147 appearances for the Spanish outfit. He helped the team win the Copa del Rey during the 2021/22 campaign and has also won the World Cup with Argentina.
Now, Forest are going back into the race to sign Rodriguez. They wanted him earlier in the summer but a deal looked somewhat complicated.
MORE FOREST STORIES
Rodriguez has lots of experience in the game. He would perhaps welcome a crack at Premier League football edging close to his thirties.
Forest moving in for Rodriguez
This does look like an interesting one. With the Sangare deal looking close to completion, it’s perhaps strange that Forest are now going for another midfielder.

Danilo and Orel Mangala are currently nursing minor injuries. However, the team does feel quite well-stocked in that area if Nicolas Dominguez and Sangare get over the line.
Still, it’s hard to knock Forest wanting options for the squad. Last year the depth was relatively lacking and it looks as though that won’t be the case during the 2023/24 campaign.
