Ian Wright hailed the defensive display of Nottingham Forest as they beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge yesterday. The Match of the Day pundit picked out two players for praise after the 1-0 victory.
This was an unbelievable win by Forest. Last season they were forced to come from behind to draw 2-2 at Stamford Bridge but this victory was far more comfortable.

Although the scoreline saw Forest edge a one-goal game, it proved pretty easy; with Chelsea being restricted to half chances by some sound defensive work.
Ola Aina and Joe Worrall were absolutely outstanding. Both players were up against some quality Chelsea players who had cost a fortune and they passed the acid test with flying colours.
Wright thought the pair were brilliant. He raved about the Forest defensive display on last night’s Match of the Day and he had praise for Worrall and Aina.

He said: “They were unbelievable to a man. Look at Aina, he keeps an eye on Sterling so he can make the challenge. To get this first win away this is what they needed to do.
“You look at Worrall here, Man of the Match by the way today. In the way they defended against Chelsea, they were absolutely unbelievable.”
Ian Wright raves about two Nottingham Forest players
Aina looks like a very good signing on a free transfer. He is now under pressure to keep his place at left-back after Nuno Tavares arrived from Arsenal on deadline day.
It’s a case of so far, so good for him though. He’s been excellent in the three away games he’s played against Arsenal, Manchester United and now Chelsea.
As for Worrall, what a performance. In a week when he suffered tragedy on a personal level, the Forest captain showcased exactly what sort of bloke he is.

He was absolutely colossal during the win over Chelsea. It was a true captain’s performance and one that epitomised what playing for Forest should be all about.
Wright hit the mark when he praised the two Forest stars. With new players now to settle into the squad, it was a timely performance made by both players at Stamford Bridge.
