Nottingham Forest have announced the signing of Divock Origi and his squad number has now been confirmed.
The Reds completed this deal ahead of the transfer deadline. He checked back into England yesterday, joining the Reds on loan from AC Milan.

Origi spent many years at Liverpool and became a cult hero with their supporters. Although he was often deployed as a backup, he scored some massive goals for the Reds.
Now, he’s joined Forest on loan from AC Milan after just a single season with the Serie A outfit.
He was used on 36 times in Italy and managed two goals, although a large number of his outings came from the bench.
MORE FOREST STORIES
Origi played 175 times for Liverpool. He scored 41 goals and claimed 18 assists, proving that his game is about more than simply scoring goals.
The 28-year-old signed on the dotted line ahead of the deadline. He didn’t travel to England, however, and was only officially unveiled yesterday.
Origi snapped in Forest shirt with new squad number showcased
After signing for the Reds, Origi will take the number 27 shirt at the City Ground for the 2023/24 campaign.
It has to be said that it shouldn’t be particularly difficult for Origi to fill the shirt based on who has worn it before.
Omar Richards wore it last season and didn’t play a single game, with Steve Cook wearing 27 as Forest won promotion.
Before that Jordan Gabriel, Filip Krovinovic, Tendayi Darikwa and Damien Perquis wore the jersey.
Origi is comfortably the player with the biggest reputation to have 27 etched on his back and hopefully, he can score plenty of goals for the Reds.
