Ian Wright has been praising the transfer business done by Nottingham Forest this summer. The Reds added 13 new players in total; with seven of those new recruits checking in on transfer deadline day.
The pundit has been speaking on The Kelly and Wrighty Show after the Reds beat Chelsea. Forest won 1-0 at Stamford Bridge thanks to a well-taken goal by Anthony Elanga.

Now, Forest will hope to kick on during 2023/24. They finished in 16th place last season and given the signings made, there is a sense that a better season can happen this time around.
Wright is impressed with the new recruits at the City Ground. He’s named three of the new additions that he’s looking forward to seeing in action for Forest.
The pundit told The Kelly and Wrighty Show: “I think Forest. I think a couple of those signings at Forest, you hope that someone like Callum Hudson-Odoi can really get himself going.
MORE FOREST STORIES
“Origi is another, Tavares from Arsenal. They’ve got a few. When you put those guys in there it looks pretty good. I think Forest, they’ll cause problems now with the players they’ve got.”

Hudson-Odoi is a great signing for the Reds. Although he’s lost his way a little bit in recent seasons, at 22-years-old, he’s got bags of potential and the challenge for Steve Cooper is to unearth that.
Origi is also an interesting signing. Despite seemingly being around forever, he’s only 28 and should really be at the peak of his powers right now.

Tavares is another one who looks fascinating. He’s never really cut it at Arsenal but he scored six times from left wing-back last season and he has potential too.
Forest did well to get the seven recruits through the door on deadline day. Now, Forest have to hope they can kick on and enjoy a more comfortable campaign this time around.
