Former Nottingham Forest midfielder Jesse Lingard is the subject of interest from two Saudi Arabian clubs after his release from the Reds in July.

The former Manchester United man signed a lucrative deal at the City Ground last summer, however, after just 17 league appearances with no goals in the Premier League, the 30-year-old left the club.

Lingard has since been training with former side West Ham United, building up his fitness whilst eyeing up a short-term deal with David Moyes’ side.

However, it appears that two Saudi League sides are interested in signing Lingard – but it remains unknown which clubs would like to pursue the midfielder.

What next for Jesse Lingard?

It is safe to say that Lingard’s time under Steve Cooper at the City Ground didn’t go as any party expected.

With the former Forest man now coming to the back end of his career, the next permanent move in his career is absolutely vital.

Undoubtedly, any Saudi club would be offering the former Forest man more money than West Ham, but he has a chance to go back to a club where the fans adored him for his loan spell in 2021/22.

The Hammers are said to be willing to offer Lingard a short-term deal to prove himself in the Premier League again, but should Saudi come calling, he has the chance to play the game for love or money.

Time will tell for Lingard…
