Nottingham Forest will be looking to make it back-to-back Premier League wins when they take on Vincent Kompany’s Burnley side at the City Ground on Monday night.

Steve Cooper’s men faced Burnley in the Carabao Cup on August 30th, falling to a 1-0 defeat after a 90th-minute winner from Zeki Amdouni.

Multiple Forest players will be looking to make their debuts for the club after joining during the final week of the transfer window.

Nicolas Dominguez, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Murillo, Odysseas Vlachodimos, Andrew Omobamidele, Divock Origi and Ibrahim Sangare will all be looking to make their first starts for the Reds.

Predictions from the pundits

Chris Sutton and Paul Merson have given their predictions for the clash between Forest and Burnley at the City Ground.

The pundits are in agreement that it’ll be difficult for the Reds but have both predicted home wins for Cooper’s side.

Former Arsenal man Merson spoke in detail about the sides and whilst predicting Cooper’s side to come away with all three points, he admits that the club should be able to stay clear of any relegation battle this season.

“These are the games you highlight if you’re Burnley – they need to get something out of this.

“That said, Nottingham Forest look good and have bought really well in the transfer market, so I’ll be shocked if they get dragged into a relegation dogfight this season.

“Steve Cooper’s side have a brilliant opportunity to make it three wins from five Premier League games and I fancy them to do so in a hard-fought game.”
