Brentford manager Thomas Frank was full of praise for Nottingham Forest debutant Callum Hudson-Odoi after he scored against Burnley last night.

Frank was a guest on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football, with the Bees boss impressed with the 22-year-old.

The former Chelsea man managed 71 minutes for Steve Cooper’s side, in what was his first appearance in the Premier League in over 18 months.

Despite his lack of game time, Frank admitted that the future could still be promising for the forward.

Thomas Frank on Callum Hudson-Odoi

Speaking on MNF, the Brentford boss spoke openly about Hudson-Odoi and his impressive debut at the City Ground.

“The pathway to success is never straightforward, sometimes you have to take a different path.

“He’s come to a club under Steve Cooper, who is proven in working with a lot of young players and developing them.

“I think it is the perfect move for him and could be the start of a perfect relationship between the two.”

It is important that both the fans and Hudson-Odoi himself don’t get carried away with his impressive debut last night.

However, that being said he could potentially be a crucial player for Cooper’s side this season should he build on his start to life at the City Ground.
