Steve Cooper has explained how long Danilo will be missing for Nottingham Forest. The midfielder came off with a hamstring problem during a 1-0 win over Chelsea earlier this month.
Ahead of Saturday’s trip to Manchester City, Cooper has been quizzed on the Brazilian. Forest will definitely be heading to the Etihad Stadium without the talented £16 million player.

Forest added Danilo to their ranks during the January transfer window. He scored three goals before the season finished and he proved instrumental as the Reds stayed in the Premier League.
It’s not nice for the 22-year-old to pick up this injury. He started the first four games of the campaign but was forced to miss out on Monday night as the Reds drew with Burnley.
Cooper was asked about Danilo ahead of Forest playing City on Saturday afternoon and he’s going to be out for a little while longer just yet.
He told BBC Sport: “Danilo isn’t close. He’s out for a few weeks yet. We have nothing new from the game on Monday night though.”

This is a bit of a blow. Danilo provides the Forest midfield with something a bit different and it’s fair to say that he’s not quite as defence-minded as some of the other options in the squad.

The youngster is going to be a big player for the Reds in the future. Danilo has really excited the Forest fan base and they will be hoping that he can be back in the team soon.
Danilo might sit out the fixtures between now and the next international break. However, following a glut of summer arrivals, the Reds should now be well-stocked in his absence.
