Matt Turner has been discussing who the best finisher is at Nottingham Forest after his first couple of months on Trentside. He’s raved about one player who often takes him by surprise.
The Reds signed the goalkeeper from Arsenal in the summer. He could cost the club £10 million after performance-related bonuses and he already looks like a useful signing.

Turner only made seven appearances for Arsenal. He couldn’t oust Aaron Ramsdale from the team and was restricted to outings in a number of cup competitions.
Now, Turner has the chance to stake his claim for a place as a number one in the Premier League at Forest. He’s been ever-present so far this season and now he’s been discussing who is the best finisher in training.
He told Sky Sports: “Best finisher, we’ve got to do some more finishing drills but probably Morgan right now. Yeah, I think Morgan Gibbs-White right now.
“From what I’ve seen anyway. He’s really clever with the way that he likes to strike the ball, he’s fast thinking, forward-thinking and he’s one that can catch you by surprise.
“I think Callum is going to be one who gives him a run for his money after his finish last week.”
Forest goalkeeper Turner lauds Gibbs-White
This is certainly an interesting one. If there was to be one criticism of Gibbs-White it would be that he needs to start finding the way to goal more often than he currently does.

The 23-year-old is still learning his trade and he will hope to improve on the five goals he bagged during 2022/23. He is still awaiting his first strike of the current campaign.
Clearly, it seems as though he’s giving the current Forest number one plenty of problems in training. The challenge for Gibbs-White now will be to start doing it to opposition goalkeepers.
