Rice raves about Samba after Forest exit

The big-money Arsenal signing was put up for the media responsibilities after this one. He was very complimentary about Samba and Forest fans won’t be surprised to hear the praise.

The 29-year-old is a firm cult hero at the City Ground. His performances in the play-off wining campaign were frankly ridiculous at times and he’s now taken his career to another level.

Rice told Bein Sports after last night: “We lost it in both boxes. They defended their boxes excellently even though we had some big chances to score. Their keeper made some stunning saves, we had one cleared off the line and they scored two great goals.

Samba has gone to another level

It seems as though after every strong performance, Forest fans reminisce about Samba. They really didn’t have a choice to keep him though, with the player desperate to return to France.

He was fantastic last season as Lens challenged for the title. He was quality when called upon and now he’s captaining the team wins in the Champions League.

Forest have moved on from Samba and he has now become an even better goalkeeper since leaving. The Reds helped him to become the goalkeeper he is today and he will hope to kick on even further this season.
