Former Nottingham Forest and Rangers striker Kris Boyd has highlighted where the Scottish club have made a mistake this summer.
Ross Wilson was the Sporting Director of Rangers for over three and a half years, before departing the club to join Forest.
Although his departure was celebrated by Rangers fans, it is clear to see the gap the 39-year-old has left at Ibrox.
Boyd hit out at the club’s recruitment, suggesting that no player brought in this summer would be sold on for a profit.

Kris Boyd on Rangers’ recruitment
In an interview with Sky Sports this week, Boyd claimed that he feels as though Michael Beale was destined to fail after the poor recruitment conducted this window.
“I think it all comes down to the recruitment from the summer. I think out of all the additions Jack Butland is the only one who can hold his head up high because the rest have been nowhere near it.
“Unfortunately for Michael Beale, he’s paid the ultimate price because of the poor recruitment this summer.

“Whatever happens next, you’ve got to say the recruitment has to be better. They’ve spent in the region of £15 million this summer and looking at it right now I don’t think you would be able to sell any of them for a profit.
“In Scotland, it’s not a case of bringing players in just to make an instant impact, you’ve got to develop them give them the opportunity to move them on for more money than you brought them in for.
“But right now I don’t see anyone being able to do that in this Rangers team.”
Ross Wilson at Nottingham Forest
Many Forest fans were disappointed at the news of Wilson’s arrival as Sporting Director at the City Ground.
However, it has to be said the work that he and the rest of the board conducted on deadline day has to be credited.
Ibrahim Sangare, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Nuno Tavares are just three examples of the calibre of player he brought into the club, with all three already looking like shrewd additions.
