Paul Merson has made his prediction ahead of Nottingham Forest’s trip to face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday.

Steve Cooper’s side will be looking to return to winning ways, but they will have to do so without multiple key first-team members.

Felipe, Danilo and Nuno Tavares all look set to miss out through injury, with Moussa Niakhate missing the trip after picking up a red card against Brentford last weekend.

Ryan Yates and Nicolas Dominguez are touch and go and will continue to be monitored ahead of Saturday night.

Paul Merson predicts a good game between Palace and Forest

Within his piece on Sportskeeda, the Sky Sports pundit has predicted a tight game with Forest just edging Palace out.

“Crystal Palace could be in for a shock here. They’re very good as a tight unit, but with Eze and Olise injured, I don’t think they have what it takes to hurt teams in the Premier League.

“This is going to be a good game. I think it could be one of those games that Nottingham Forest could capitalise on.

“You don’t know what you’re going to get with Palace at the moment, and Forest might be able to pick up a win here.”

Prediction: Crystal Palace 0-1 Nottingham Forest

Can Forest pick up a second away win?

After beating Chelsea at Stamford Bridge earlier in the season, the Reds equalled their away win tally from last season.

With the hosts losing Wilfred Zaha this summer with current key men Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze out injured, Saturday gives Forest a great chance to go and pick up a valuable three points.
