Nottingham Forest supporting pundit Darren Fletcher has shared what he’s been told about Murillo in training. The 21-year-old has been a quality addition to the ranks and it’s a case of so far so good.
The Brazilian wonderkid signed for Forest during the summer transfer window. Surprisingly, the player has already been handed his first outings under Steve Cooper.
He played well against Brentford and on Saturday he was excellent as the Reds kept a clean sheet against Crystal Palace. Now, he’s been praised by TNT Sports commentator Fletcher.
Forest supporting Fletcher explains what he’s heard about Murillo
It’s quite remarkable how Forest starlet Murillo has taken to the Premier League. The Reds supporters will be excited to see how much better he can get when he really gets going.
Fletcher believes that he’s heard good things from inside the club about Murillo. He’s heard that he’s taken the training ground by storm, impressing his teammates.
He told the Garibaldi Red Podcast: “I’m told that from pretty much the first training session, he’s walked onto the training pitch and grabbed a starting place with both hands.
“I’m led to believe that he’s come in and settled straight away, he’s dominated training sessions and he’s been outstanding from day one. Based on that there’s no surprise that he’s been handed the chance to start.”
Murillo could truly star at the City Ground
The 21-year-old looks like a seriously talented player. He already looks like an absolute steal at just over £10 million with a couple of add-ons included in the deal.
Murillo did look a little nervy in possession against Brentford during his debut performance. He soon shook off those nerves, however, and he was brilliant against Crystal Palace.
Now, the young talent looks like he is the kind of player to seriously impress the fan base. Murillo will hope to keep his place in the Forest team and right now he looks undroppable.
