Paul Merson has made his prediction ahead of Nottingham Forest’s Premier League game against Luton Town this afternoon.
The Reds will be looking for their second home win of the season, after defeating Sheffield United 2-1 back in August.
However, Luton should not be taken lightly – as they’ve already won on the road this season after beating Sean Dyche’s Everton at Goodison Park.
Former Arsenal man Merson admits that it will be a close game, with both teams needing a crucial victory.

Merson’s prediction for Forest v Luton
In his column with Sportskeeda, the 55-year-old claimed that Forest should have too much quality for Rob Edwards’ side at the City Ground.
“This is a must-win game for both teams. Luton have got to start winning matches, and they need to try and win this game.
“They played against a ten-man Tottenham side and didn’t find the back of the net. They seem a cut below the rest and are struggling in the Premier League.
“Nottingham Forest have picked up nine points from eight games so far. Forest are the better team at the moment and should be able to win this game.”
Prediction: Nottingham Forest 2-0 Luton Town

Can Forest get another win on the board?
Although no encounter in the Premier League is an easy one, this afternoon poses a great opportunity for Cooper’s side to collect three more points.
Luton, a team heavily tipped for relegation, won’t be a pushover and will pose a threat – but hopefully, the Reds will have too much quality in key areas in order to collect all three points.
