Felipe hasn’t played for Nottingham Forest this season but yesterday he gave praise to Nicolas Dominguez on Instagram. The midfielder was in action as the Reds drew 2-2 with Luton Town at the City Ground.

It’s been a bit of a strange situation with Felipe. He was instrumental last season after signing from Atletico Madrid in January but he’s now struggling with a knee problem.

When he signed it was claimed that he cried tears of joy at the thought of coming to the Premier League with Forest. Now, the Reds would dearly love him back on the pitch.

There is no sign of things clearing up for the Brazilian and Forest will simply have to do without. It does seem strange, however, that nothing has been mentioned about the severity of his injury.

Felipe sends three-word response to Forest midfielder Dominguez

The Argentina midfielder signed for Forest during the summer transfer window and he’s been a revelation. He’s only made four appearances but he already looks like an astute signing.

Dominguez was substituted after Forest went 2-0 up yesterday and it changed the game for the worse. The Reds lost control of the midfield after that point and it cost the team two points.

After the game, Dominguez took to Instagram to suggest that the result wasn’t what the team hoped for. Felipe replied with: “Crack it up”, as he watched on from the stands during the home contest.

How long will Felipe be out injured?

Ultimately, nobody knows. He seems to be omitted from the list of injuries when it comes to that particular discussion in press conferences and something doesn’t add up.

Forest really picked up when Felipe was signed last term. He was strong and composed at the heart of the defensive unit and he was a big player as Forest stayed up.

Given the struggles of certain players yesterday, the Reds would dearly love to have him back in the fold. Felipe’s experience would be ideal at the back and hopefully the Reds can get some good news soon.
