Nottingham Forest midfielder Ibrahim Sangare has shared who helped him settle at the club after his arrival from PSV Eindhoven this summer.

25-year-old Sangare joined the Reds for a deal in the region of £35 million on deadline day, after Brennan Johnson left the club to join Tottenham Hotspur.

The Ivorian international has settled into life at the City Ground well, impressing during his first couple of outings under boss Steve Cooper.

He’s formed a great partnership alongside Orel Mangala and Nicolas Dominguez in the Forest midfield, with Sangare already looking at home after just five games for the club.

Sangare on who helped him settle at Forest

Speaking in an interview with Forest’s club media, the 25-year-old admitted that he has two teammates who are like big brothers to him.

“I’m very, very happy to be here amongst an excellent group of teammates.

“We’re progressing very well together, we’ve gelled nicely. I think they’re a great group of guys and it’s all been very positive.”

“I’ve not really had too much of an opportunity to see Nottingham as a city, but what I have seen I really like, it’s a cool place to live.

“We’re all in it together, but of course, I have Willy Boly and Serge Aurier who I listen to and learn a lot from.

“They’re like older brothers to me and I listen to all of their advice.”

More to come from Sangare at Forest

Although he’s enjoyed an impressive start to life at the club, there is definitely more to come from Sangare in a Forest shirt.

He’s only five games into a long successful stint at the City Ground, with the 25-year-old full of qualities that can take the club to the next level – with a top-half finish the aim this season.
