Jamie Robinson has departed Nottingham Forest after 15 months at the club under Steve Cooper. The coach is now going to set up his own coaching consultancy as he steps away from the day-to-day side of the game.
Robinson arrived at the City Ground after 11 years with the FA. It was there where he first linked up with the Forest head coach.
Now, Robinson leaves Forest after just over a season. The new coaching consultancy that he’s set up already sees him work with clients in the Premier League at senior and academy level.
Robinson reacts after leaving Nottingham Forest
The news regarding the departure of Robinson was announced via The Training Ground Guru earlier today. After his departure, the respected coach has been offering some thoughts.
He said on the website: “I’ve had a fantastic experience at Forest. To be involved in the coaching staff that kept the club in the Premier League for the first time in 23 years; ahead of the likes of Leeds and Leicester was fantastic.

“I’m really proud of that achievement. Now I’m going on my own and am focused on helping coaches to get better. My approach has always been to walk in their shoes and take a holistic approach.”
Forest now have coaching slot to fill after Robinson exit
Steven Reid did return to the club in the summer. However, another void now looks like it needs filling by Cooper. Who takes up the position in the dugout remains to be seen but the club will almost certainly be looking.
Cooper is assisted by Alan Tate at the City Ground. Reid and Andy Reid are currently the two coaches in the backroom team; with Danny Alcock responsible for the goalkeepers on Trentside.
Cooper has a strong relationship with his team of coaches. Given the Premier League status of the club; it seems highly likely that a replacement will be sought for the departed Robinson.
