Nottingham Forest are yet to hand Andrey Santos a start in the Premier League this season. The player, however, has offered a glimpse of his quality on the training ground.
Forest signed Santos from Chelsea on a season-long loan back in August. He started against Burnley in the Carabao Cup but only got his first Premier League outing last week at Liverpool.
The midfielder came on in the closing exchanges of the contest and he will be desperate for more game time. Chelsea will be watching closely and it’s unlikely they will be impressed that he’s not playing.
Forest gem Santos scores impressive goal in training
At 19-years-old, the player is extremely talented. Forest fought off competition from several other clubs to take the talented player on loan for the season.

With Danilo back in the fold, competition for a place in midfield is going to heat up. Santos, however, showcased his class in Forest training this week, with a wonderful goal.
His goal was spotted in a video uploaded on YouTube by the club scoring a well-taken goal. It saw him finish using a chop that Mesut Ozil mastered during his career, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance.
Santos will get game time this season
There is an argument that the man on loan from Chelsea will get plenty of chances at Forest. However, in the short term, he might have to remain patient at the City Ground.
Santos looked like a very useful signing when he was signed by Forest. He’s a very exciting youngster and the Reds did well to get a deal to sign him over the line.
Ultimately, Forest managed to get other midfielders over the line after Santos. Ibrahim Sangare and Nicolas Dominguez were both added on deadline day and that has shunted the midfielder down the order.
Clearly, he’s doing well in training, however. As a result, Santos should get a chance at Forest and it will be up to him to grasp the opportunity when it comes.
