According to Globo Esporte, the Reds have now won the race for the centre-back. Forest have fought off interest from other teams to land the player for just £6 million.

Nino will arrive at the club in January on the back of 50 appearances during the 2022/23 campaign for Fluminense and 228 appearances for the club in total.

Nino set for City Ground arrival

The Brazilian contingent is set to get stronger at the City Ground. Forest have agreed on a bargain fee for Nino and it could prove to be an exciting signing for the Reds.

It’s hard to imagine that too many people will know too much about the defender. Still, it’s clear that head coach Steve Cooper is keen to add to his rearguard in January.

Nino is keen to stay at Fluminense and compete in the Club World Cup for the club. After that he will join Forest and the 26-year-old will hope to get straight in the team and start making an impact on the Premier League.
