Morgan Gibbs-White has taken to Instagram to speak of his pride at captaining Nottingham Forest. The Reds performer was tossed the armband on Sunday as Forest played Aston Villa in the Premier League.
Gibbs-White is part of the leadership group at the City Ground. He’s a respected member of the dressing room and now he can tick off that he’s captained the team.

Steve Cooper is a huge fan of Gibbs-White. He fetched up 50 appearances for the Reds on Sunday and the player is integral to the club’s fortunes.
Gibbs-White reacts on Instagram and receives congratulations
The player is worshipped on Trentside by the City Ground faithful. Gibbs-White has been a wonderful signing for Forest and at 23-years-old, there is so much more to come from him.
After the weekend, the player took to Instagram to say: “What an honour to captain this club.”
Following that post, he received a love heart emoji from none other than Forest promotion winner, James Garner who now plays for Everton.
Danilo also posted the word ‘Craque’ to Gibbs-White. This basically translates to being skilful and it’s a word often used on social media among the South American players at Forest.
Gibbs-White striving for Forest consistency
The challenge for Forest star Gibbs-White is to get himself on the goal trail. He knows he should be scoring more goals and he also needs to start weighing in with more assists too.
In fairness, it’s not through a lack of trying. Gibbs-White gives his all every time he wears a Forest shirt and that aspect is never in doubt.
Cooper will be working with Gibbs-White on the training ground. More recently he’s been asked to play in a right-sided role and it doesn’t really suit his strengths.
Still, other players of a similar ability to Gibbs-White have adapted to different roles and with more games, he could start to shine in a different role at Forest.
