Ian Wright predicts who’s winning on Sunday – Nottingham Forest or West Ham

Ian Wright has backed Nottingham Forest to claim the scalp of West Ham at The London Stadium on Sunday. The Reds go into the clash on the back of a first win in six matches against Aston Villa.

The Reds won that game thanks to goals from Ola Aina and Orel Mangala, with Wright seemingly impressed with Forest.

This weekend provides Steve Cooper with another Premier League challenge. The performances have picked up away from home this season but some more points would be most welcomed.

Wright backs Forest to beat West Ham

Wright spent a very short time of things on loan at Forest in 1999. He scored a few goals and was a fan favourite, despite only making a handful of appearances for the club.

He clearly enjoyed watching Forest play at the weekend and he fancies them to go well at West Ham this weekend. The Reds will be hoping to bounce back after losing 4-0 in the same fixture last season.

Wright told The Overlap: “I think Forest beat them, I really, really do. What I saw of them the other day, I know Villa weren’t great. I’m going to go 2-1 Forest.

Forest must take game to the Hammers on Sunday

West Ham aren’t in great form themselves. They will be hoping for a morale-boosting win tonight when they face Olympiacos in the Europa League on home soil.

Forest have nothing to fear heading to East London, however. They’re a better team this season than they were 12 months ago and they should feel they can get something in most Premier League games.

West Ham are slowly starting to turn on David Moyes. An early goal for Forest on Sunday could make things very interesting and it could turn the atmosphere in their favour.
