Nottingham Forest forward Anthony Elanga was praised on Sky Sports by Daniel Sturridge this afternoon. The 21-year-old scored his second goal for Forest in the second half of a 3-2 defeat against West Ham.

Elanga has been a quality signing for Forest and he looks set for a bright future. He cost the club just £15 million and he’s looking like a steal at that price at the moment.

The tricky winger finished off a good move that Forest had made with 63 minutes on the clock. After the game, the Sky Sports pundits had their say and Sturridge was impressed.

Sturridge has praise for Elanga after West Ham clash

Elanga was pretty lively throughout for Forest in today’s contest against West Ham. He richly deserved his goal and it was celebrated wildly in front of the travelling fans.

Steve Cooper won’t be happy with what happened shortly after. Jarrod Bowen was left with the freedom of the Forest penalty area to flick home a headed equaliser just 43 seconds after the Reds had scored.

Sturridge said live on Sky Sports: “‘It’s calm and collected by Elanga. It’s a fantastic finish from him.”

Elanga is really starting to shine at Forest

The winger is starting to showcase his talent under regular action at Forest. Elanga is clearly growing in confidence and the challenge now is to be scoring and assisting regularly.

At 21, he has bags of untapped potential. Elanga is a scarily good talent and if he keeps playing regularly for Forest, he should be capable of adding more goal contributions.

Dejan Kulusevski at Tottenham has previously praised the player. He has claimed that he could go far in the game and as a result, it looks as though Forest were wise to snap him up for just £15 million.

Consistency is something that the player continues to work hard on. With Forest head coach Cooper guiding him, however, Elanga should get the chance to keep his place in the team and continue trying to make an impact.
