Micah Richards heaped praise on Ibrahim Sangare during half-time of West Ham vs Nottingham Forest. The 25-year-old played a delightful ball into Morgan Gibbs-White in the build-up to the Forest goal.

Sangare signed for the Reds in the summer transfer window. The club used the money from Brennan Johnson’s £47.5 million exit to Tottenham to get themselves a defensive midfielder.

Sangare has played eight successive games for Forest since arriving at the City Ground. Against West Ham, he was in decent form and his contribution to the goal didn’t go unnoticed.

Richards raves about Sangare

The Sky Sports pundits analysed the Forest goal at half-time and Sangare came in for some praise. The Ivorian played a telling pass into the path of Gibbs-White and after his shot was saved Taiwo Awoniyi prodded home.

Richards said on Forest star Sangare live on Sky Sports: “Just look at this. It’s magnificent from Sangare. The weight of the ball there into Gibbs-White and it’s just asking to be hit.”

Forest levelled things up right on the stroke of half-time. Awoniyi had done well to hold his line and he was on hand to score his first goal since August for the Reds.

Richards raves about Sangare during Forest clash

This was a great moment for Sangare in a Forest shirt. His passing radar hasn’t always been fantastic and in fairness, there were times when things didn’t go according to plan here.

His pass into Gibbs-White was brilliant and the weight of the ball was just absolutely perfect. This was a glimpse of the Sangare that Forest fans had seen when highlight reels were being shown of his best bits at PSV.

The challenge this season for Sangare is to continue adapting to life in England at Forest. The £30 million player is clearly very good and what he does and there will be more to come from him during the campaign.
