Nottingham Forest player Anthony Elanga earned praise from Steve Hodge live on BBC Radio Nottingham yesterday. The player scored his second goal for the Reds during a 3-2 defeat at West Ham.
The 21-year-old signed for the Reds from Manchester United in the summer. Elanga has been given a run in the Forest side of late with Callum Hudson-Odoi ruled out through injury.
Yesterday his goal was pretty special as he finished off a fantastic team goal after an assist from Ola Aina. The joy was shortlived, however, with the lead lasting just 43 seconds.
Hodge praises Elanga live on air
Forest star Elanga was praised by the BBC Radio Nottingham co-commentator. He was keen to use his platform to praise the player after his well-taken goal on Sunday.
He said live on air: “It’s great technique. He’s kept it low and picked out the bottom corner. The goalkeeper has no chance.”
Elanga will be hoping to continue showcasing his quality at the City Ground. He has been handed a chance to play regular football after struggling to do that at Manchester United.

It’s great to see a young player come into the club and make an immediate impact. Elanga is clearly keen to establish himself as a Premier League player and Forest head coach Steve Cooper is likely to be impressed.
The Sweden international will head off on international duty this week. Last week, Dejan Kulusevski tipped Elanga for a bright future in the game and Forest will be intrigued to see how he develops.
Forest will look forward to developing the player into a top Premier League winger. Despite a pretty poor result yesterday at West Ham, the performance wasn’t bad and Elanga will be delighted to score another goal.
