Sky Sports presenter David Prutton has claimed Murillo has been a brilliant addition after his summer transfer from Corinthians.

The 21-year-old has impressed since his arrival, with the Brazilian being awarded the Man of the Match award just two games into his Forest career.

Steve Cooper has praised the youngster for his impact, with the Reds reaping the rewards with their latest Brazilian wonderkid.

Murillo limped off with a hamstring problem against West Ham United on Sunday, hopefully, just as a precaution rather than a lengthy injury.

Speaking on the Garibaldi Red Podcast, the former Forest midfielder admitted he’s been impressed with the 21-year-old since his arrival.

“He’s been good, visibly frustrated to come off injured on Sunday and given what he’s brought in his desire – he’s been a brilliant addition.

“Having read a lot of feedback on team selection and recruitment – there’s not many people complaining about him so far and everyone’s happy with him.

“Even with the young lad before the Villa game, he looks like a class lad off the pitch too so hopefully his injury isn’t too serious.”

Murrilo is only going to get better

After his £13 million move from Corinthians, no Forest fan could’ve imagined how good this 21-year-old was going to be.

He’s really hit the ground running in a Forest shirt and is starting to look like a great pickup, especially for the fee and the potential he has to improve.

Hopefully, the injury that he picked up on Sunday afternoon isn’t serious and he can feature in the first game back after the international break against Brighton and Hove Albion.
