Nottingham Forest gem Dale Taylor was handed a start for Northern Ireland last night as they stunned Denmark. The talisman is currently on loan with Wycombe Wanderers in League One.

The Reds chose to loan Taylor out once again during the summer. His form for the Chairboys and last season with Burton Albion has seen him get a chance on the international stage.

Taylor is a burgeoning talent coming up on the rails in the youth team at Forest. He starred during the 2021/22 campaign as the Reds reached the FA Youth Cup Final.

Taylor shines for Northern Ireland

This was a remarkable win for Northern Ireland as they finished their Euro 2024 qualification on a high. Goals from Isaac Price and Dion Charles scored the goals as they defeated the table-toppers in Group H.

After the game, Belfast Live said on Forest gem Taylor: “Worked his socks off all night both in attack and defence.”

Taylor was substituted in the 78th minute but delivered a strong performance. On this showing, there will be more good nights for him on the international stage as his career progresses.

Forest will be happy with Taylor progress

The Forest youngster was recently joined at Wycombe by Lyle Taylor. He’s signed a short-term deal with the League One outfit and he could soon be playing alongside Taylor.

The Forest youngster looks to be at the right club to continue his development. He’s playing regular football and he’s currently scored three goals in 18 appearances.

Taylor could be the next academy graduate to make an impact in the Forest senior ranks. He is developing at a frantic rate and these appearances for Northern Ireland will only enhance his progress.
