Nottingham Forest defender Murillo was once again in fine form on Saturday as the Reds lost to Brighton.
The Brazilian has been in truly outstanding form since joining the club from Corinthians for £11 million.
Murillo has now played seven games for Forest and it looks as though the club have got themselves a real bargain already.
Murillo stars again as Forest lose
Naturally, as a young player, there are still aspects of the player’s game that he needs to work on.
It’s becoming quite regular, however, that some statistics emerge that show Forest defender Murillo sitting pretty at the top following Premier League games.
On Saturday, the player won more tackles and interceptions than any other player in the Premier League.

These statistics came from The Other 14 on X, with Murillo winning a combined eight tackles and interceptions against Brighton.
Murillo was outstanding during the game against Brighton. He also produced a remarkable last ditch tackle on Joao Pedro in the final stages of the game.
Murillo proving real bargain
It’s been claimed that Forest fought off competition from Manchester City for Murillo. Given his current form, there is nothing to say he won’t end up there at some point!
For a player to come to a new continent and play how Murillo is playing for Forest is quite something.
He’s strong in the tackle, good in the air and he’s also showcasing a wonderful passing radar, with his cross-field deliveries a joy to behold.
The challenge for Murillo is to continue playing in this manner for Forest.
He looks undroppable from Steve Cooper’s team right now and long may his current form continue for the Reds.
Forest have made some big money signings since reaching the Premier League.
However, Murillo has been signed for a bargain price and Forest look to have unearthed an absolute gem.
