Nottingham Forest lost 1-0 to Everton last night and James Garner offered a reminder of what the Reds are missing.
The Reds fell to Dwight McNeil’s second-half goal as the Toffees claimed a huge victory.
Forest weren’t at the race throughout the contest and at times, they couldn’t put two passes together.
Garner signed for Everton in the summer of 2022, moving from Manchester United for £15 million.

He showcased everything that Forest were missing in the middle of the park and it’s criminal that he couldn’t be signed.
The 22-year-old was elegant in possession and he also threw his body on the line defensively.
Garner was incredible during his time at Forest, helping the club win promotion during the 2021/22 campaign.
The talented player was wanted by Forest on a permanent deal but by the time United chose to sell the Reds had strengthened their midfield.
Garner should have been signed by Forest

Forest have a number of midfield options but Garner, who won the European Championship with England Under-21 in the summer, is going to be a top player.
The youngster was worshipped by Steve Cooper and he must be kicking himself that he didn’t try harder to sign the talented youngster.
