Nottingham Forest have been in touch with Oliver Glasner as they look for potential replacements for Steve Cooper.
The Reds are preparing a shortlist of possible candidates, with Cooper on the brink after a 5-0 defeat at Fulham.
Forest have now lost four games in succession in the Premier League and have slipped towards the bottom three once more.
Something will have to give and it’s anticipated that Cooper will have to claim a big win at Wolves to earn a stay of execution.
Glasner sounded out as Cooper sweats
According to The Athletic, Forest have liked Glasner for some time and they’ve now touched base with him.
Daniel Taylor did a Q&A last night on the current club matters and he confirmed that he would be on the shortlist of targets.
He said: “Our info is that there have been regular contact for some time with former Eintracht Frankfurt manager Glasner’s camp.

“I know some people will not be happy that those discussions can take place when there’s a manager already in place. Unfortunately, that’s just the way it works.”
Who is Forest-linked Oliver Glasner?
The 49-year-old was last in management with Eintracht Frankfurt where he helped them to a Europa League victory.
An Austrian head coach he defied the odds with the Bundesliga outfit and oversaw a win over Rangers in the final during 2021/22.
He was in charge of 97 games during his time with Frankfurt, winning 38 of them and drawing 30, leaving with a win ratio of around 40%.
Glasner doesn’t have a wealth of managerial experience but then nor did Cooper when he arrived at Forest.
The talented head coach has also managed Austrian outfits SV Ried and LASK, moving to Wolfsburg in Germany in 2019.
During his first foray into the Bundesliga, he enjoyed a win ratio of close to 50% and that saw him poached by Frankfurt.
