Sky Sports reporter Rob Dorsett has delivered an update on Steve Cooper and explained how Evangelos Marinakis viewed the Nottingham Forest result away at Wolves yesterday. The Reds drew 1-1 at Molineux.
Forest claimed a share of the spoils with Harry Toffolo scoring his first Premier League goal. Matheus Cunha equalised for Wolves but it was the Reds who had the best chances to win the game.
Toffolo should have scored again during the second period but he did put in a strong performance. Forest now face Tottenham on Friday night with some confidence behind them from this result.
Reports explains how Marinakis viewed Forest draw
Dorsett is typically the man at Sky Sports with his fingers on the pulse in the East Midlands. Earlier this afternoon he’s explained how Marinakis felt after the 1-1 draw with Wolves.
He’s claimed that the owner was impressed with how Forest battled at Wolves. He said on Twitter: “The immediate pressure on Steve Cooper at Forest has eased, after draw with Wolves, I’m told.

“The performance and result at Molineux has placated Marinakis to a degree, who was impressed by the spirit and fight from the players which has shown him they still have belief in the manager.”
Forest back Cooper – for now
The uncertainty is far from healthy for Forest or Cooper. Forest face Tottenham next week with confidence back intact and they need to keep showing this level of fight.
Interestingly, Dorsett has made these claims and it should be good news for Cooper in the immediate sense. He will, however, understand that wins are required pretty quickly.
Forest fans hold Cooper in very high regard and it would be something of a tear-jerker to see him depart. The Reds fought tooth and nail for their gaffer yesterday and more of the same will be needed on Friday.
