Oliver Glasner is keen to manage in the Premier League after Nottingham Forest were linked with his services. A number of managers have been linked with the role as Steve Cooper fights to save himself at the club.
After Fulham thrashed Forest 5-0 last week, Cooper’s position became under severe scrutiny. On Saturday, the Reds showed that they’re willing to play for their boss and earned a spirited point at Wolves.
Forest-linked Glasner was last in charge of Eintracht Frankfurt. He did superbly well with the Bundesliga outfit and helped them win the Europa League during the 2021/22 campaign.
Glasner keen to manage in the Premier League
According to the Daily Mail, the 49-year-old boss is now keen to manage in the Premier League. He’s been out of work since July of this year and he’s keen to get back in.
Glasner has managed Frankfurt and Wolfsburg in Germany, whilst he’s also held roles with LASK and SV Ried in Austria during his career to date.
Moving to Forest is likely to be something that Glasner would consider. His appointment would mean that Cooper has been dismissed and hopefully, it won’t get to that.
Forest have Glasner on shortlist
This would be a bit of a left-field appointment. However, it’s clear that the Forest hierarchy have been impressed with the stuff he achieved in the Bundesliga and in Europe.
Glasner is still relatively new to management and his appointment would perhaps be an interesting one. The article doesn’t actually say Glasner wants Forest specifically but it claims that he fancies a crack at the Premier League.
For now, supporters must back Cooper as Forest bid to claim another win. Tottenham are on Trentside on Friday night and the current head coach needs the place to be bouncing.
