Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has been sharing what he expects from Nottingham Forest tomorrow night. The Reds face Spurs on Friday Night Football under the City Ground floodlights.
Forest are in desperate need of a victory tomorrow night. They face Tottenham knowing that all three points could put some daylight between them and the bottom three.
However, Steve Cooper needs a win for very different reasons. With just one win in 12 Premier League games, the pressure has intensified on his position and the speculation is rife.
Postecoglou on what he expects from Forest
The new Spurs boss has been a breath of fresh air this season. He was appointed as the club’s new manager in the summer and his style of football has caught the eye.
Tottenham have a go in every single game now and that all-out attack style could serve them well this season. On Sunday, Postecoglou oversaw a win over Newcastle 4-1 and it promises to be a tough game for Forest.
Ahead of the clash, Postecolou has been quizzed on what he expects from Forest and he thinks it will be a tough assignment for his free-flowing team.

He told Football London: “You take everything into context. I don’t think it makes a significant difference to us. I think it’s fair to say that any team that is going to play at Forest knows it’s going to be a difficult game, irrespective of where they’re at in terms of their own trajectory.
“Even this year I know the results haven’t been great but at home, they’re still very hard to beat. All the games are close so you know it’s going to be a tough game.
“No one was going through a worse trot than we were a week ago and we ended up winning 4-1. You always kind of balance these things up. You’ve got to assume they’re going to be at their best and at home they are going to be hard to beat.”
Forest must take the game to Tottenham tomorrow night
The atmosphere on Trentside tomorrow promises to be rocking. With Cooper under pressure, it’s easy to say that the fans will be bang up for it in support of their manager.
Not too many want Cooper to leave Forest but there is a universal understanding of the perilous situation they find themselves in right now.
Forest have to match Tottenham in terms of work-rate tomorrow night. Given that they have some defensive injuries to contend with, Forest will also feel they can cause Spurs some problems.
Postecoglou always speaks well and it’s nice to hear him praise Forest. Tomorrow, however, he becomes the enemy and Cooper must get his team to get in the face of their opponents much like they did at Wolves last weekend.
