Nottingham Forest defender Harry Toffolo has sent a classy message to Luton Town captain Tom Lockyer. The centre-back collapsed on the pitch during yesterday’s game with Bournemouth in petrifying scenes.
Their game was finely poised with the Cherries at 1-1. The Hatters have battled well in recent weeks and they were on course for another important point in their survival quest.
Lockyer was fitted with a pacemaker after the Championship Play-Off Final which saw him stretchered off the field. The player has been in fine form this season and now he’s suffered this eerie incident.
Toffolo sends emotional message to Lockyer
The centre-back was alert and responsive last night as Luton Town posted an update on their captain. Forest star Toffolo was quick to send a message of support to the player following the incident.
He posted on X: “Tom Lockyer we are thinking of you mate.”

Toffolo has been an immovable object in the Forest team of late. He’s been the regular player on the left-hand side of the defence and has the backing of Steve Cooper.
Last weekend, Toffolo scored his maiden Forest goal during a 1-1 draw against Wolves. He also had one cleared off the line on Friday night as Forest lost to Tottenham.
Toffolo is a credit to Forest
After a summer that saw, Toffolo fight off some betting charges from earlier in his career, he’s bounced back with a vengeance during the 2023/24 campaign.
The 28-year-old has been in fine form and always gives his all. Forest need his experience to get out of their current situation and he’s likely to remain involved in the team.
It’s nice of Toffolo to support one of his fellow professionals. The whole football community is behind Lockyer and hopefully, he can bounce back from this very quickly.
