Nuno Espirito Santo has taken training at Nottingham Forest for the first time today and he’s already made a big change.

The Reds head coach replaced Steve Cooper earlier today, with the 49-year-old signing a two-and-a-half-year contract at the City Ground.

Espirito Santo is back in the Premier League with Forest after a very brief spell in charge of Tottenham that saw him take charge of just 17 matches.

Ultimately, he was sacked on the back of eight wins and seven defeats in North London and his most recent job was with Al-Ittihad.

Big change made in training under Espirito Santo

This afternoon the club have posted a training video of the players being put through their paces for the first time.

Forest boss Espirito Santo wore his hood up as barked out instructions and a couple of interesting faces were spotted.

Both Joe Worrall and Scott McKenna appear to be back in Forest training under Espirito Santo with the main squad, with the pair banished under Cooper.

Worrall has been linked with an exit. It’s also been claimed that the Forest captain had a bust-up with Cooper after the win over Aston Villa last month.

As for McKenna, a contract dispute has apparently meant that he’s been banished from training. Fenerbahce have been linked with a move for him.

Clean slate for stars under Espirito Santo

The players who hadn’t been involved under Cooper will be buzzing all of a sudden. The likes of McKenna and Worrall will feel that they might have a chance.

There are some good players in the Forest dressing room and the challenge for Espirito Santo is to get a tune out of them.

The pressure is on from the off for the new head coach. He has a five-point buffer to the relegation zone and he will want to kick on.

Espirito Santo will adapt to life at Forest very quickly and given that Worrall and McKenna are back in training, it looks like a clean slate for everyone.
