Nottingham Forest defender Joe Worrall has delivered a one-word verdict on Chris Wood after his hat-trick against Newcastle United.
Forest headed up to St James’ Park on Boxing Day, looking to take advantage of a wobbling Magpies side.
Alexander Isak put Newcastle in front from the spot after minimal contact inside the area was given as a penalty.
Forest didn’t wilt though and found a leveller as Anthony Elanga found Chris Wood for a close-range tap-in.
Wood added number two after the break to put Forest in front before calmly slotting in his and Forest’s third, securing a memorable hat-trick on Tyneside.

Tuesday’s win and his own heroics will have meant a lot to Wood.
Newcastle signed Wood from Burnley in January 2022 but he was quickly pushed down the pecking order by Isak just months later.
After just five goals in 39 games, Newcastle allowed Wood to join Forest on loan with the deal then becoming permanent.
Wood had a chance to show the Newcastle fans what he’s all about – and he certainly took it with three coolly-taken goals.
Forest fans have been absolutely raving about Wood since Tuesday’s win and it turns out defender Joe Worrall feels the same way.
Forest have posted a video on social media showing Worrall walking down the tunnel after the final whistle at St James’ Park.
Worrall pointed at Wood with his match ball, stating ‘unbelievable’ after being dazzled by the New Zealand international.
Worrall came on as a late substitute to see out Forest’s win, making his first Premier League appearance in two months.
The 26-year-old will be hoping for more chances moving forward and would surely love to see Wood keep scoring goals.
It’s four in two games and seven for the season for Wood, who will now be Forest’s leading striker with Taiwo Awoniyi out of action.
