Nottingham Forest striker Emmanuel Dennis looks set to return to the club in January. He’s been pretty awful during a loan spell with Basaksehir and now they are keen to send him back.
Forest allowed Dennis to head out on loan during the summer. He was deemed surplus to requirements by previous Reds boss Steve Cooper, spending the summer training with the B-Team.
Dennis signed for Forest from Watford for a fee in the region of £15 million. He joined shortly after promotion to the Premier League but scored just two goals during his maiden campaign at the City Ground.
Forest could see Dennis return in January
According to Turkish outlet Senego, the Istanbul-based club have run out of patience with Dennis and want to send him back to Forest. The player has failed to register a goal contribution in eight outings for Basaksehir.
Nuno Espirito Santo has now replaced Cooper in the dugout at Forest. With that in mind, it’s not certain what the future would hold for Dennis back at the club.

Forest aren’t blessed with many striker options at the moment. Chris Wood scored a hat-trick at Newcastle but Divock Origi has barely played and Taiwo Awoniyi is currently out injured.
Forest must find another club for struggling striker
After signing for Watford in the summer of 2021, the player scored 10 goals in his maiden Premier League campaign. As a result, Forest fans might have been forgiven for believing they’d signed a decent player when Dennis joined.
It’s not really worked out for him though at Forest, with Dennis often struggling to start games last season. He was often getting 10 minutes here and there which is never useful for a striker.
Dennis looks unlikely to have a future at Forest under Espirito Santo. He will likely look to sign his own attacking reinforcements and it remains to be seen what happens should Dennis return.
