Robbie Mustoe has been speaking about Nottingham Forest star Murillo amid some fine form for the Reds.

The NBC Sports pundit has been discussing the defender on The Two Robbies Podcast.

What has Robbie Mustoe said about Forest player Murillo?

Well, the man who spent several years playing in the Premier League loves watching Murillo feature for Nottingham Forest.

The defender signed for the Reds for £11 million from Corinthians in the summer, amid interest from Manchester City.

Murillo made his debut for Forest against Brentford in October and he’s been ever-present in the starting eleven ever since.

Mustoe is a huge fan and told The Two Robbies Podcast: “If there are people out there who are not familiar with him and you get a chance to watch Nottingham Forest, he’s a Brazilian centre-back and he does his job really, really well and he loves a dribble, he loves a run forward.

“I just love him to bits Murillo not just for his defensive stuff but also the way that he dribbles out and gets forward.”

In our mind, Murillo has been fantastic for Forest this season and Murillo claimed an assist for Chris Wood’s hat-trick goal against Newcastle.

Murillo can truly kick on under Nuno Espirito Santo

Since the new manager came into the club, he has adopted a consistent 4-2-3-1 system, with Forest playing on the front foot more often.

That should benefit Murillo who should have more freedom to bring the ball out from the back and get things moving forward for Forest.

The 21-year-old isn’t afraid to mix things up. His ball over the top for Wood against Newcastle was just sublime and he’s got that sort of pass in his locker.

No Premier League central defender has completed more progressive dribbles than Murillo this season, according to Who Scored.

With that in mind, Forest have a defender with a modern-day set of skills and he will be hoping to showcase them more often under Espirito Santo.
