Michael Dawson has been discussing Morgan Gibbs-White – and it appears that he’s a huge fan of the Nottingham Forest player.
The man who played four times for England has been speaking with the Forest Focus podcast.
So, what has Dawson said about Forest star Gibbs-White? We take a closer look…
What Dawson said about Gibbs-White
The Forest playmaker is very much the man of the moment at the City Ground right now.
Gibbs-White scored the winner as Forest beat Manchester United and last week he scored a quality goal against Blackpool.
Dawson has been quizzed on the player amid Gibbs-White being linked with Tottenham recently – and he rates him very highly.
He told the Forest Focus podcast: “Well Morgan Gibbs-White doesn’t surprise me. I’m a huge fan of his, a huge fan. Steve Cooper certainly made him the marquee signing when he bought him in from Wolves, he cost a lot of money.
“I thought last season, he was my Player of the Season, he was magnificent. His work rate was up and down and it’s not all about the quality you have, you have to work.

“I played for England and the likes of Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard, and Wayne Rooney, it was no coincidence, they were the best and it was because they worked hard.
“To see Morgan Gibbs-White playing the way he is, he’s everywhere. It doesn’t surprise me that he’s a wanted man because he’s a fantastic player but he’s one that Forest must keep hold of.”
Forest will fancy keeping Gibbs-White for the foreseeable
The challenge for the 23-year-old player is to start registering more goal contributions.
Since Nuno Espirito Santo came to the club he has improved on that front and he’s getting into some great areas.
Forest did exceptionally well to sign Gibbs-White in the summer of 2022 – and he looks like good business despite the transfer fee.
The man who the European Championships with the England under-21 team works tirelessly for the Forest cause and sometimes that slips under the radar.
Even when things aren’t going right for Gibbs-White, he never shirks his Forest responsibility in a work rate sense.
Forest will command huge money if any club holds a desire to sign their top player and there shouldn’t be any sense of panic at the moment.
Gibbs-White has created more chances than any Forest player so far this season and it’s exciting to see just how much more he can develop at the City Ground.
