Orel Mangala is now keen to leave Nottingham Forest during the January transfer window.
That is according to Calciomercato.
So, what exactly has been said about Mangala as reports continue to link him away from Forest? Let’s take a closer look…
Orel Mangala wants to leave Nottingham Forest
Well, it would appear that the writing now looks to be on the wall for the Belgium international.
Reports from Calciomercato claim that Mangala has now informed Forest that he’d like to leave this month.
Florian Plettenberg has previously linked him with a move to either Juventus or Napoli – with Galatasaray also in the offing.
It doesn’t appear as though the player will be going out on loan and Forest will now hope to get the very best deal.
Mangala signed for Forest from Stuttgart in 2022 and he cost the club £12 million.
Given that statistically he’s been Forest’s most efficient passer of the ball this season, the club will surely be demanding profit from his sale.
Forest are taking a risk by offloading Belgian
It’s a shame that Forest midfielder Mangala seems to have had his head turned by Juve and Napoli, with his form this season largely brilliant.
However, under Nuno Espirito Santo, he’s hardly featured and perhaps he wants to go in a different direction.

In truth, if the player has a desire to sample a new adventure and wants to go there is not a lot that the club can do.
It does feel like a shame though, with the £44,000-a-week player starting to show exactly what he’s capable of this season.
Forest head coach Espirito Santo now looks like he’s going to lose Mangala and it will be intriguing to see if a replacement will be added.
Ibrahim Sangare was a big-money signing in the summer, whilst Nicolas Dominguez, Ryan Yates and Cheikhou Kouyate will all provide competition.
Mangala’s departure won’t be ideal and it will now be fascinating to see what Forest can recoup for him.
