Daniel Taylor has delivered a passionate plea to Nottingham Forest amid some pretty worrying reports.

The Forest-supporting journalist has posted his plea on X.

So, what has Taylor had to say about Forest – and what does he want them to do moving forward? Let’s take a closer look…

What Taylor has said about Nottingham Forest

Well, after last night’s report from The Athletic journalist David Ornstein, Taylor has taken to X to post his own thoughts on Forest.

It’s claimed that Forest will find out today that they’ve breached the Premier League’s profitability and sustainability rules for the three-year cycle to June 2023.

That could mean a hefty fine – or in a worse-case scenario, a points deduction for Forest to contend with.

Taylor issues a series of posts on X and as a Forest supporter, he’s keen to see the club learn from this.

His posts read as follows:

Taylor is right and the hierarchy must now learn

It’s hard not to commend Forest for having a go when they won promotion to the Premier League – but rules are indeed rules.

Forest fans would be very wise to err on the side of caution and perhaps a meltdown isn’t required just yet.

Naturally, comparisons are going to be made to Everton who have been deducted 12 points this season.

However, the Toffees were hundreds of millions over their threshold and Forest won’t be much closer to the green.

There is definitely something for the club to think about, however.

A joined-up approach to the club’s recruitment has to now be identified after years of needless spending.

Nuno Espirito Santo arriving at the club gives everyone a bit of a clean break.

The club’s hierarchy have their man in the dugout and they must now work with him to streamline the squad; prioritising quality over quantity.

For now, the club have to wait and see. Taylor, however, has made some great points and Forest must learn from this fiasco.
