Chelsea talent Andrey Santos has been explaining why he felt that he didn’t play at Nottingham Forest.
The 19-year-old has been speaking with Globo.
So, what was the situation with the talented Santos during his time at Forest? Let’s have a look at what he’s now claimed…
What Andrey Santos has said about his Nottingham Forest spell
Well, it would appear that Santos was left as surprised as most of the supporters that he didn’t play at Forest.
The teenager was allowed to join Forest from Chelsea on a season-long loan but he played for just seven minutes in the Premier League.
As a result, he was recalled from his loan at the City Ground earlier this month and is now back at Stamford Bridge.

Santos believes that the decision was purely down to Steve Cooper – and he wasn’t injured during his time at the club.
He told Globo: “It was my choice. Unfortunately, it wasn’t how we all imagined.
“I imagined that I was going to play and so on. I was always ready, always well, but it was the coach’s choice, I respect it – I’m back at Chelsea now.”
Santos goes down as another pointless Forest signing
This is another blemish on the transfer strategy at Forest and it would be intriguing to know who sanctioned this deal.
On the face of things, Santos looked like a decent loan addition for the Reds but if Cooper wasn’t going to use him, why did the club sign him?
This is where the club has to improve in the coming transfer windows.
Although it isn’t uncommon for a head coach not to pick every single player, there has to be an element of joined-up thinking.
Certain members of the club’s hierarchy can’t just keep stockpiling players that the head coach isn’t going to use and Forest have to learn from the Santos debacle.
