Nottingham Forest defender Moussa Niakhate has left supporters feeling anxious after he limped off at the African Cup of Nations yesterday.
The defender was starting the game and was part of a 3-0 win over Gambia.
So, what exactly has Niakhate done and what does it mean for Forest? Let’s take a closer look…
Forest defender Moussa Niakhate limps out of AFCON clash
Well, it looks as though it’s happened again for Niakhate!
This time it would appear that he rolled his ankle and as he left the field of play he was walking very gingerly.
Niakhate has absolutely zero luck with injuries and now it will be an anxious wait for Forest to discover the extent of the issue.
Last season, the 27-year-old was injured in the second match of the campaign and missed seven months of action.
In pre-season, Forest star Niakhate dislocated his elbow during a game against Valencia, although that one didn’t keep him out for long.

Senegal got off to a flying start at the tournament and Niakhate will be keen to play his part for Senegal.
From a Forest perspective, however, the club can ill-afford to be losing any more central defenders in the second half of the campaign.
Forest now face anxious wait
Hopefully, this is a knock that can be eased with rest and Niakhate can be back on the pitch sooner rather than later.
Niakhate has looked very useful when he’s played for Forest this season, making 15 appearances in all competitions.
Forest have Murillo as the mainstay in the team. Niakhate, Felipe, Willy Boly, Joe Worrall and Andrew Omobamidele are all options to play alongside him.
Niakhate boasts real leadership qualities though and he could be vital for Forest as they bid to stay in the Premier League for a second successive season.
Hopefully, by the time Senegal play Cameroon on Friday, Niakhate will be fit enough to at least make their squad.
