Charlie Adam has lauded Danilo for his performance during a win for Nottingham Forest over Blackpool in the FA Cup.

The Fleetwood Town manager was speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live.

So, what has Adam said about Forest midfielder Danilo during last night’s game? Let’s take a closer look…

What Charlie Adam has said about Danilo during Forest win

Well, it would appear that he was very impressed with the Brazilian who grew into the game last night.

Danilo scored his first Forest goal of the campaign just 45 seconds into the second half to give the Reds a two-goal advantage.

It wasn’t ideal for Nuno Espirito Santo’s men, however, that Blackpool came back to take the game to extra time.

Adam was impressed with Danilo and praised the Forest man shortly after his goal.

He told BBC Radio 5 Live: “Grimshaw rolls the ball out into midfield, Morgan takes too long and gets caught. Danilo shows great composure to put the ball into the back of the net.”

Danilo will get chances under Espirito Santo

The 22-year-old midfielder was beginning to look a little bit like a forgotten man under Steve Cooper.

Danilo was seeing his Forest opportunities restricted somewhat but under Espirito Santo he’s played in games against Newcastle, Manchester United and both times against Blackpool.

Last night he grabbed his maiden goal for the campaign and ran off to complete his trademark celebration.

It wasn’t just his goal that was impressive last night, however, with his overall game largely impressive too.

Sofa Score scored him a rating of 8.1 and completed three of the four raking long balls which he attempted.

The youngster also made four clearances, two tackles and also won two fouls for the team.

Danilo lost possession a staggering 24 times last night, however, and that will be something for him to work on as he gets used to English football.

Still, Danilo grew into this game and under Espirito Santo, it looks as though he’s going to be playing lots of football.
