Three MLS teams are now hoping to prise Divock Origi away from his Nottingham Forest hell this month.

This is according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

So, what has been said about Origi and his future at Forest? Let’s take a closer look…

Three MLS teams want Divock Origi from Nottingham Forest

Well, it would appear that Forest are ready to end Origi’s nightmare spell at the City Ground.

The Belgian player signed in the summer on a season-long loan deal from AC Milan but has failed to make his mark.

Origi has featured just nine times for the Reds, playing for a total of 178 minutes in total.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, three MLS clubs are now vying to sign him before the transfer window ends.

Los Angeles FC, FC Cincinnati and Dallas are the three clubs keen and now they could move to sign him.

Forest have to learn from this disaster

Origi earns £87,000-a-week, although it’s unclear what percentage of that Forest actually agreed to pay.

Whatever it is, it’s proved too much based on his performances for Forest at the City Ground.

His loan deal has been riddled with injuries and when he has had opportunities he’s just been unable to grasp them.

The signing of Origi always looked fraught with danger, given that his goalscoring record has never been particularly good.

At 28, he is at a decent age but ultimately, first-team football has proved difficult to come by for the player.

Now, Forest will surely look to send Origi back this month and sign a striker who can make an impact between now and the summer instead.

Nothing against Origi at this stage but Forest need to avoid stockpiling players and the striker simply hasn’t done enough.
