Jamie Carragher raved about Nottingham Forest star Danilo during yesterday’s 3-2 defeat for the Reds at Brentford.
The Sky Sports pundit made the claim on the live coverage of the game.
So, what did Carragher have to say about Forest midfielder Danilo? Let’s take a closer look…
What Jamie Carragher said about Forest star Danilo
Well, he was extremely impressed with the Brazilian after he opened the scoring in the third minute of the game.
His touch and volley sailed into the net to give Forest the early advantage against the Bees.
After the goal, Carragher spoke about the scintillating strike and thought it was a great piece of technique.
He said live on Sky Sports: “You can look at the defending but that goal…that is absolutely out of this world. It’s tremendous.”

Danilo followed up his Forest goal in the FA Cup against Blackpool with another striker here – but this one was a cracker.
In our view, Danilo is starting to thrive under regular game time and now he will be striving for consistency.
Danilo must keep performing under Nuno Espirito Santo
Since he arrived at the club Espirito Santo has given Danilo more game time than he was getting under Steve Cooper.
However, with Ibrahim Sangare to lot back in after the African Cup of Nations, Danilo is going to have to keep performing well.
There is, of course, a sense that Sangate and Danilo can play in the same team with one being more defence-minded than the other.
Yesterday, Forest boss Espirito Santo will have really seen what Danilo was all about and his goal was simply breathtaking.
With competition for midfield places tense, these are the type of performances that will ensure Danilo stays as a mainstay in the Forest team.
