Nottingham Forest are facing competition for the signature of Ajax forward Carlos Forbs from Burnley before the transfer window closes.
This is according to Mike McGrath of The Telegraph.
So, what has been said about Forest and their interest in Forbs before the window closes? Let’s take a closer look…
Burnley rival Nottingham Forest for Carlos Forbs
It was reported last night that Forest were in advanced talks to land Forbs from Ajax before the transfer deadline.
Now, according to Mike McGrath, other clubs could be interested, with Burnley also in the mix for the 19-year-old.
Forbs only signed for the Dutch giants during the summer transfer window, penning a contract until 2028.
Now, he could be allowed to leave Amsterdam on loan, with Forest keen to try and land him for the remainder of the campaign.

Forbs has played 25 games in all competitions for Ajax this season, scoring twice and registering four assists.
The player largely operates on the left flank, although he can play through the middle as a centre-forward.
Burnley could have advantage on Forest to sign winger
Forbs came to Manchester City in 2014 from the Sporting Lisbon youth academy – with Clarets boss Vincent Kompany playing for the Premier League outfit.
The teenager will have looked up to the current Burnley boss and perhaps playing for him will be an attraction to the winger.
Forest are still in the race though and hopefully, the fact that they’re a little better placed in the Premier League than Burnley can help.
The Reds definitely need a new winger or two before the transfer window closes.
Nuno Espirito Santo utilises a 4-2-3-1 system and with Anthony Elanga currently injured it’s hampering the effectiveness of such a system.
It’s been a pretty slow transfer window across the board so far but hopefully, things are about to pick up a little bit for Forest.
