Nottingham Forest striker Divock Origi is edging closer to ending his City Ground nightmare before the transfer window closes.

This update comes from Sky Sports reporter Rob Dorsett.

So, what has been said about Origi and his future at Forest? Let’s take a closer look…

Divock Origi nears Nottingham Forest exit

Well, this is positive news and it could save Forest a tidy sum in terms of wages that they’re currently spending on the striker.

Now, Rob Dorsett has claimed that Forest are willing to offload Origi and let him return to AC Milan.

It would seem as though the player is also nearing a move to another club from the San Siro-based giants.

Los Angeles FC are the club that are keen to sign him, with a £4.25 million deal expected to go through if an initial loan is successful.

Origi just hasn’t worked out at Forest and his chances to shine have been heavily restricted.

The 28-year-old has made just nine appearances for Forest with his total time on the pitch equating to just 178 minutes.

Forest landed the player with minutes remaining of transfer deadline day and things just haven’t worked out.

Forest have to learn lessons from disastrous signing

On the face of things, it’s always easy to slag a signing off with the element of hindsight.

However, this one looked doomed from the start, with Steve Cooper never really fancying Origi.

Not only has the striker failed to find the net, but he’s never really looked like threatening the score sheet at Forest.

Origi is on a wage of £87,000-a-week and it feels likely that Forest are paying a sizeable chunk of that.

Forest have to become more savvy in the transfer market and hopefully the club can learn from failed signings such as Origi in the future.
