Nottingham Forest are willing to let striker Divock Origi depart the City Ground this week, following a miserable loan spell with the club.
This news comes from Rob Dorsett of Sky Sports.
So, what has the roving reporter had to say about Forest striker Origi? Let’s take a closer look.
Nottingham Forest could let Divock Origi leave this week
Well, it would appear as though the Forest end is nigh for Origi after he signed on loan at the club from AC Milan on transfer deadline day.
The player checked in on a season-long deal and Forest even included an option to sign the 28-year-old permanently at the end of the campaign.
However, things haven’t worked out for the experienced striker and he’s spent just 178 minutes on the pitch in a Forest shirt.
Earlier today, Rob Dorsett was quizzed on the situation on Sky Sports show Good Morning Transfers.

He said: “It’s an interesting one because he was a big signing for Forest, Divock Origi and it hasn’t worked out for him. He hasn’t had much game time.
“My understanding is that they are prepared to release Origi from that loan deal. They do have an option to buy him, Forest, but I don’t see them exercising that opinion any time soon.
“They would be prepared to get Origi off the wage bill and cancel the loan deal this season, which would allow Origi to speak to Los Angeles FC.”
Forest have lessons to learn and striker needs replacing
In our view, it’s absolutely fine for Forest to offload Origi but with attacking options in short supply, a replacement will need to be sought.
Forest have been linked with Ismaila Sarr today but he’s considered more of a winger than a striker.
The Reds hope to have Taiwo Awoniyi back soon but there are some reservations over his fitness issues and the club won’t want to rush him back.
A younger striker with an abundance of potential would be ideal to back up Awoniyi and the in-form Chris Wood.
Forest have been pretty loose in the transfer market since winning promotion to the Premier League.
As a result, the club has to learn from transfers like Origi with the club once again wasting millions on a needless wage.
